something different

Marvelous, mysterious, and so different than hiking anywhere in Europe. Not a typical tourist area, so you can walk all day and do not meet a person.

We came here mostly for the family friendly hike on the camino de sentido, which even exceeded our expectations. It's a very good tryout hike if you're unsure about how your children take hiking because it's short and includes some very easy challenges. Parking at the visitor center should be okay because most people just come for the bathroom and... More

Beautiful area particularly for walkers. Visit la laguna too as lovely town. Lots of viewing points but do get busy.

It was the last day of our trip. We were too tired to do another day of hiking so decided to explore the region by car. The drive is pretty amazing by itself. We left Santa Cruz and took the TF-12 to Pico Del Ingles for a quick stop. Anywhere along the route there's some spots to stop by for... More

We drove up to the viewing point and took a short walk. If you have time get a guide and do a whole day hiking in these beautiful mountains. Great scenery and beautiful little towns.

For the lovers of nature - a must do. We didn't do any walks, just drove over the park - lots of amazing scientists.

We drove to Cruz del Carmen on the TF12 and hiked down to Punta del Hidalgo and up again stopping at Chinamada for a drink. It's hard to beat this walk for diversity and some excellent views. When the bruma rolls in, the temperature drops and unfortunately the views disappear. Lots of senduros in the Anagas, not enough time! After... More

If you are visiting Tenerife, and you love nature, you should not miss a trip to the Anaga mountains. The roads are narrow, but very well maintained, and the view is impressive. Don't miss the info center and make a nice walk in the forest. Just don't leave any valueables in the car!
