Nice small fort

There isn't that much to see - small fort with couple cannons and a small lighthouse. Views are nice though and place is easily accessible from the promenade.

The cost is 3 euros per person. We were told on entry that due to cut backs there was no longer an english tour guide and all of the information within the fort was not in english making it difficult to understand the elements/concepts around the battle so we opted out of going in. - Perhaps OK for any spanish... The city in general is boooring at night so me and my boyfriend took a walk to this castillo. We felt save and almost nobody was there.

A wonderful walk out to this attraction and I'm sure it would be worth taking a look around inside - 3 Euros isn't going to break you. Unfortunately we decided not to go in after meeting one of the rudest members of staff we've experienced. And I'm ashamed to admit he was english, A pity, all the locals we met... More

This is well worth the walk. Views across the harbour are great and the inside of the castle contains interesting displays. The views from the ramparts are great. As you go in, you are warned that none of the information is in English but you can get the gist, especially if you carry a dictionary! It didn't detract from our... More

Disappointing in that the many information boards are in Spanish, French and Italian. They do tell you this before you pay the very reasonable €3 each but it seems odd. They were noting the nationality of those going in and there were more British people than any other nationality. Ok so we should learn another language but there will be... More

We didn't go in, but the walk along the curving path down to the castillo was lovely and the views from the castillo itself was well worth the trip - stunning to look back at the town from this vantage point at the bottom of Calle Leon Y Castillo - the main drag in Arrecife

We love discovering a little bit of history when on holiday and this was a nice addition to our trip. We didn't go in, but we enjoyed viewing the structure and my little boy loved the cannons.

The castle is situated at the end of the city's main street and off the promenade. The castle was not open when I visited but is definitely worth a walk whether open or not.
