Certainly more of interest for kids than the green lake at El Golfo. Moderately spectacular coastal scenery. Lava meets the sea. Various cave/tunnel/sink holes to look at.

Stopped off here to view the wilder side of the island , good car park(free) , good walk around the area and a viewing spot where you can watch the waves crashing onto the lava underneath you. This is where the eruptions extended the island...More

This was part of an organised coach trip. The practical demonstrations were extremely entertaining as well as informative.

Stopped her brifly on the way to the national park. The scenery is stunning, the ground is covered in lava as far as the eye can see. Well worth a quick visit.

A very intriguing formation of lava as it meets the sea creating hollows in the lava. Very interesting. We went on a coach trip so time was limited. Well worth a visit longer on your own if you have a hire car.

Blink and you will drive past it..... Huge free car park (don’t leave valuables in the car), 2 min walk along the edge of the cliffs and onto a peninsula left by the volcanic eruptions. Wear trainers/shoes NOT flip flops! Follow the little paths to...More
