Another Manrique creation, and a wonderful 45 minute guided tour through the lava caves. So different from our normal caves. We were led by a guide who spoke in Spanish and excellent English. She used a microphone so was easily heard. There are low parts...More

The caves were amazing, but walking through them in a huge line meant that if the guide said anything you had usually missed it by the time you got there. This happened when we reached the 'secret', the guide revealed a secret of the caves...More

Great underground cave system, a lot of bending, not for the claustrophobic! A 45 minute walk through the lava caves with amazing acoustics and surprises. A great experience!

Another site worthy of a visit and just up the road from Manrique’s 1966 house. The tour thru the lava tube has lots of stairs and low passages requiring you to walk bent over. The guide provides details along the route. This is not ideal...More

We were lucky to arrive at the time when it wasn't too crowded - we had a nice walk and guide was interesting!

This underground tour is very interesting and commentary is in both Spanish and (reasonable) English. One or two head banging risks where you need to bend but not as bad as some people make out.

These caves are really spectacular but not for any one with a mobility issue as my wife found out to her disappointment. Still worth a visit and should take no longer than an hour with a guide. You can't do the tour on your own...More

Nice walk through a cave system, nothing too strenuous but be warned there's a few low ceiling segments so bad back sufferers might find it difficult.

Hello Virginie1461, If you want to go by public bus, you have to take first from Puerto del Carmen to Arrecife and then from Arrecife to Orzola. It stops in Jameos del Agua. The distance from Jameos to Cueva de los Verdes... More
