Well that’s the best 3€ we’ve spent this holiday! Reading numerous reviews of this beach we felt we just had to go ourselves and didn’t regret a single moment. Yes the unmade road is a little daunting, especially in a rental car but don’t be...More

Loved this beach a lot, far from all the turist places. I walked all the way from Playa Blanca along the cost, simply beautiful. Loved the wilderness of this beach and I hope they will keep it like that forever. Its like paradise. Love it!

Had the most amazing visit to this beach. We had to drive to it. Hard to find but definitely worth finding. 5 euro to park there and you have the choice of 4beaches. Very private beach, beautiful sand and what can I say about the...More

There are a number of beautiful beaches along this coastline but the Papagayo beach (one in the cove) was the highlight for us. Sun trap, sheltered from the wind, still water - didnt want to leave.

Spent a lot of time naked, searching the rock pools at one of the beaches here. The track to the beaches is very dusty and takes about five minutes, depending on which beach you visit. We opted for a small beach just along from the...More

Drove to Papagayo to meet up at the beach bar for lunch. After lunch we walked down to the beach, which is pleasant in itself. The beach was very busy and we struggled to find a place to encamp. We had a quick paddle, but...More

We drove to here, the drive down is on a dirt track, very bumpy. Cost €3 to get in, there are several different beaches, we went to playa de papagayo which does have steep steps going down. Maybe a problem with mobility problems and pushchairs....More

Super beautiful beach in between cliffs. There are some steps to take you to the beach. You have to enter this place by a dirt path so best is to go by car. It costs €3,- in total.

there are no bars or restaurants on playa de Papagayo. that's the whole point of this beach. it's wild and away from all the amenities. bring a sandwich and some drink with you if plan to stay there for more than an hour.

More
