Beautiful ravine with stunning flowers and trees. Many new and old cave dwellings. Very peaceful and a lovely contrast to the coastal resorts.

We visited in the hope to find somewhere to walk around. Guidance on the Lonely Planet website told us to visit the museum for information about walks, but they didn't have any, and directed us about 7km up the road. We kept driving and ended...More

We have rent a car for driving around Barranco de Guayadeque, but it is only recommended for experienced drivers. Roads are narrow and scary, but worth every miute. Beautiful view, with the most special "built in the rock-village" I've ever seen. It's fascinatiing to see...More

If you have a car this is a must see! Fantastic day out really interesting to see how they used to live in these caves and how people today still live in them also they have caves you can stay in.

We visited the museum in the Ravine before hiking across the mountain, it is definitely worth the 6euros. It tells you so much about the people who lived in the caves and their way of life. We drove through the ravine and felt humbled by...More

We had some hiking going on in Guayadeque, and the majestuosity of the canyon around you takes your breath away. All the way through the route you can see eagles and other birds nesting on the rocks. Massive variety of endemic species and good signaling...More
