The beach is located 2 steps from the village and a few more from the marina, where our sailing boat was laying. We enjoyed a bath at the beach where the entry is gently dipping, ideal if you have small children. The water was above 20 degrees celcius and therefore very nice for taking a bath and a tan. Absolutely... More

We were staying quite close to the village and our access was via a steep pathway to the west of the village. Return journey was often by taxi as temperatures were sometimes up around 35 deg C. The beach is swimmable, but very pebbly, with black sand lower down. You never look desirable emerging fro the water, although it is... More

Third time of visiting here, I just love the area. Not to loud, not to quiet. Nice bars and resturants here. If they are not enough for you plenty of bus's to take you where ever you like. Buy a 15 euro bus ticket between you and away you go. People are friendly. If you are self catering you have... More

Santiago is a quieter part of Tenerife but the views and surrounding area is beautiful. We walked for miles just taking it all in. If you prefer not to be in the main noisy parts of the island this is a great area with lots to do

Playa Santiago is a pretty unspoilt little village with quite a few shops and a supermarket . There is a very tiny church at the ferry end of the town with a few good restaurants which are all serving good food at reasonable prices . The beach is very black and coverd in pebbles . Worth a visit for a... More

From Los Gigantes you can walk round to Santiago. Walking shows on and off you go all along the coast. Lovely. stop off for coffee along the way.

A large village, relatively uncommercialised, with a few nice restaurants and bars, 3 small supermarkets, a butchers and fabulous bakery, and a black sand and stone beach

Loved this beach!! There were sun beds and umbrellas to rent from the beach for around €3 and there were plenty still left at 2:30pm as ed got there at 12pm and was not too busy! There were a lot of tourists along with locals enjoying the sea sum and sand! There are many shops on the sea front for... More
