We had a fantastic full day at the zoo today! For context, we're a couple with no children, we drove in our rental car - and we're members of Chester Zoo in the UK. I'm always a little skeptical about zoos initially, but I have...More

Clean, well kept zoo, bit confusing walking round as no specific route. Able to feed some of the animals - giraffes loved being fed. Thought it was a bit expensive at 35€ but we had a free coach there and back at specified times. Concessions...More

This is a must place to visit to see all the animals, all kept in good conditions and none of them looked distressed in any way. It is a lot of walking but worth while.

Having been recommended this experience as a safari type of outing, I was horrified to see most animals caged and being shamefully exploited for people's entertainment. Most animals were caged in enclosures far too small for them to have a decent quality of life. The...More

You can definitely pay for the tickets by card, I used a debit card, when it asks you what currency you want to pay in select euros it's cheaper than paying in sterling, not sure about the food we didn't buy any.
