    Cathedral in colour
The Cathedral is stunning. With a glorious sunny day, the sun streamed through the stained glass window and threw a multicoloured light across the transcept, lighting up pillars and walls. It was very busy, so it is best to prebook a guide. The guide was pretty good. He wasn’t too long, just enough time to walk the building and understand some of the history. There are toilets inside the Cathedral. You have time to sit in the pews and take in the atmosphere.

    Beautiful Gothic Cathedral
First, Tickets. We bought ours online about 30 days in advance, so we had no wait in line. We selected the first available time slot in the morning, so it was not very crowded when we arrived. The combined ticket which includes the Terraces, and you do want to visit the Terraces, was 20€. This is a big, very gothic, 13th century Cathedral. Hight ceilings, the web site states forty-four meters, with tall windows, but it is still rather dark. We were impressed by the many beautiful side chapels, some with Baroque style altars, and intricately carved sculptures. Each had detailed descriptive signage outlining its history, who it was dedicated to, and when. One of the major chapels definitely had a Gaudi feel. In the early 20th Century Antoni Gaudi adapted the inner space of the Cathedral to meet the new liturgical and pastoral requirements. You could see defiant similarities to his design for The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Do not miss the library, with is collection of Gold and Silver religious art.

    Breath-taking
If you are in Palma de Mallorca you must visit the Cathedral, is one of the biggest and most beautiful ghotic style i have ever seen. You can feel the history of the island when you enter. The visit costs 7 euro.

A moving visit to a very impressive building….
We made a trip to Palma from our holiday resort especially to visit the cathedral. It was a scorching day but inside there was welcome cool and shade. We paid €9 each for entry to the main building and the grounds. We thought this is a bargain considering what you get to see. Before the main body of the cathedral you walk through side rooms with various altar pieces on display. These are impressive in their own right but don’t hold a candle to the main body….. When we walked into the ‘room’ we were drawn to the centre to take a seat. Straight away you look down the aisle to the altar and stained glass window. This is stunning…. We sat for a while without saying a word. It’s a very thought provoking experience. Once you start to look at the smaller side chapels you see another more personal and intimate side of the cathedral. Even though there were many other visitors around us we felt strangely alone. If you are of faith take a moment to light a candle for a loved one. Regardless of the reason for your visit to the cathedral take a few minutes to appreciate how it was built but don’t forget the ‘spiritual’ side. My wife is religious but I wouldn’t say I am particularly but I found it quite moving. When we left we found we had a better appreciation of the impressive building especially when you think it was built without proper construction methods.

Be prepared to que in very hot temperatures
Paid €9 online for a ticket whilst standing in the que for ticket office. Ques at ticket office were crazy but on actual entry it was fine. I felt €9 was expensive. I understand the money goes towards upkeep but for a large family or those who can't afford it - it's too much to visit a place of worship. Art & stained glass are impressive and lovely to see. Candles €1 each - again a little bit steep.

    Cathedral Visit
We bought our tickets online on the day. A little jumbled to get in with people literally paying for their tickets in the queue, but it was still quick to get in. Beautiful architecture. Very busy with cruise ship groups but give yourselves 20 mins and you can see most of it.

You wouldn’t want to miss this gem!
One of the World’s most beautiful and accessible cathedrals - in the centre of Palma it is the most visible and attractive buildings in the City. It has recently had a full renovation and now sits resplendent on the highest point of Central Palma. Touristy , yes but you wouldn’t want to miss this gem

I visited Palma Cathedral and paid for the terrace tour and wasnt disappointed. Stunning views all around and well worth the deal with the entrance to the Cathedral. The climb up isnt for the faint hearted though!

    Palma Cathedral
Visited here the other day the cathedral was magnificent the rules with what to wear like tank tops, Hats and Backpacks not allowed to take but when we entered the cathedral the amount off people visiting the place were wearing big straw hats, caps and there was woman with low cut dresses and shorts like daisy duke! 😯 found the entry fee fairly cheap to enter. It’s worth the visit 10/10. The best place park is the underground carpark which is situated opposite the cathedral. Best get there early otherwise you’ll have trouble parking also make sure you pay before leaving as like many I had seen when leaving the underground carpark visitors didn’t know till last minute need to pay.

I’m not a very religious person, but this came up as the #1 attraction in Palma, so we paid a visit.

It’s not cheap. At 10 Euros per person plus donations inside (to light a candle?!), I thought the price was a bit steep.

The inside is really beautiful. But. It looks like many other Cathedrals which you’ve probably visited for free.

I understand that the money goes towards the upkeep of the Cathedral but feel that a voluntary donation would be much better.

What makes it worse is all the street sellers outside, who harass you all the way up the steps to the Cathedral.

To be completely honest, it really isn’t worth the money and visiting the Castle is much better value.

Definitely worth seeing while you are in Palma. Booked tickets in advance so didn’t need to queue. We did regular tickets which were really reasonable but you could get a tour or go up to the terraces. The architecture and rose windows were amazing and most things were translated to English to read. There is a dress code but didn’t really seem like they enforced it loads of women had their shoulders and thighs out. Nice way to spend an hour or too

This is a landmark worth seeing. Beautiful stained glass. Make sure that you view the altar on the right-hand side at the front of the church. It is very unique and really sets this cathedral apart from the typical statues and paintings. Wear your walking shoes but don't dismay. This is actually walkable.

One of the very best cathedrals I’ve seen. It is really beautiful to look at. It can be seen from many angles and dominates Palma.

My most favourite place in Palma. I love the sunlight filtering though the rose window. A side chapel has been designed by a local artist more recently and is also worth seeing.

Very beautiful place, but boy does it come at a price, they charge for everything. Even lighting a candle is a cost. Might be best to just look through the open doors at the stain glass window and save yourself some cash.

Amazing visit as you would expect from such a cathedral. There are 3 parts to the experience- the cathedral itself, the terrace and the palace - make sure you have bought the access you want. A lot is mentioned about dress code within the religious building. The advice is that women should cover their shoulders and no vest tops/sportswear and hats etc. Unfortunately the staff do not enforce it - a guy wearing a sports vest top and many women wearing vest tops….really people! Have some self awareness and respect

We were in Palma for part of one day on a cruise tour. We enter the city right near the cathedral and viewed it from the exterior and heard a bit of the history, the reflecting pool and some of the sculptures nearby.
As we passed the entry there was a long line. After our tour, when we had free time, I rushed back to see if I could enter. Sadly, the line was even longer. I waited in line for a bit but realized I just didn't have time to get inside and enjoy the interior.
I'll have to enjoy other's reviews.
