We took the bus from Soller to Lake Cuber - approx €3:5 each and took the right hand path around the lake and the walk up to the Coll and then down the gorge back to Soller via Binarix. Many of the guides tell you it is really steep. It's not steep it's a really good path but it is... More

We took the bus from Soller to Cuber to the start of our long walk back to Soller. Amazing scenery, saw Black Vultures....peaceful and beautiful. In fact I don't want to tell anyone about it!

Possibly, best way to approach Lake Cuber is to walk from Orient through Finca Comasemma grounds - permission required. Involves a tricky 800ft climb up an old path which is, thankfully, marked with blue paint spots to guide your way up Es Barrancons but the effort is worth it once you get to the top and can see Lake Cuber... Did a xmas day walk around the Cuber lake and in the mountains behind the lake. Truly beautiful setting in the mountains and we were lucky the lake was 90% full. Just around the lake takes you 1 to1,5 hours and is an easy walk, also for beginners.

Me and my friend drove up here from Deia for a days birdwatching in May and we were not disappointed. Vultures, eagles, and other smaller but just as lovely creatures are here in abundance. Not too many people about, apart from a group of very noisy, but enthusiastic, schoolkids, but that was ok. I would recommend this spot for anyone... More

The Cuber lake is one of two reservoirs on the Ma10 between Soller and Lluc. Is is also on the GR221 footpath. As well as driving, you can also get to the lake on a bus route, again between Soller and Lluc, but I do not know how often. Some keen walkers then walk back to Soller on the GR... More

If you are reasonably fit and enjoy a good hike in interesting country, this is for you. Two essentials - good footware as the walk is very rough underfoot; and a pair of binoculars. It will take you four hours - jonger if, like me you linger. I took a taxi from Soller to the start at the reservoir car... More

This is an area full of walking options, ranging from leisurely strolls around the lake to serious mountain walking. The walk up Sa Rateta (1124m) is stunning but it is a serious undertaking. On the clear day that we had, our views from the top were breathtaking and the view of the lake down below was beautiful.
