We visited Santa Clara Island and we liked it very much. It seems that few people visit it and, though there is nothing especially interesting or impressive, the local atmosphere is so unique.

You can get here by boat (rented or regular service from port) or swimming and once here there is a swimming area, a bar, and numerous hiking trails that lead you to some great views and secluded spots. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Took the small ferry out to the island where we spent a lovely couple of hours sunbathing and swimming off the quayside. The friendly bar serving food & drinks just makes the whole experience perfect. Def recommended !

If you happen to be in SS during the summer, I would strongly recommend go swimming to Santa Clara Island. I won't take too much time, specially when the tide is low. If you don't feel too inclined to swim, you can also rent some...More

On a beautiful sunny day, and in full on holiday mood, we took the "round the bay" boat trip to the island and back. It was a lovely trip and well worth doing. We didn't land on the island, and even in early June there...More
