It's a statue in a very traffic-jammed roundabout. By itself, it doesn't have much interest, but it is at the doors of La Misericordia and Parque Doña Casilda. Very close to San Mamés and Palacio Euskalduna. Most people remmember it black, but the have recently cleaned it , and now we can see it's golden.

The Estatua del Sagrado Corazón is next to the San Mames Stadium and ovelooks the Nervion Estuary and is but a stone's throw away from the Guggenheim. Great View.

Something similar can be seen in San Sebastian and seen in Bermeo,perhaps a feature of Basque Spain.A useful landmark

it is just a sculpture. it is completely surrounded by cars, but is fine. they now have changed its color and now is gold... i don't like it much...

We had visited Burgos, with OTT baroque, Leon with the fabukous stained glass so we weren t expecting this to blow us away and it didn t.

The Church of the Sacred Heart is located at Canciller Ayala, 3. It is also called the Residence of Jesuit Priests. It is part of the Residencia de San Ignacio of the Jesuits.
