This was one of the sights on the pass we bought at the tourist office. We had a little difficulty finding the museum but were very glad that we had. The exhibits are wonderful, including entire rooms that are as they would have been in...More

You can see in this museum the history of the people and area. Spread out over 4 floors and in a square as it was a cloisters for the nuns, it can be easily missed as the entrance is next to a chapel, so keep...More

Went there with my gf. Both being from Bilbao, we found it quite interesting and learned a few things about our town and the history of the Basque region as a whole. However, I think it might not be as interesting for foreign visitors.

Do not miss this small but very interesting museum. A hidden little gem located in an old school gives a good impression about Basque history.

I really enjoyed this museum, but I have a soft spot for ethnographic museums. The signage is in Spanish and Basque, but there is a free guide book in English. Really, you don't need the guides, just wander and look at the artifacts. The irony,...More

Yes, it covers history of the Basque region from prehistory to modern times, but labels are only in Spanish and Basque and for foreign tourists it would be nice to understand a little more about the context for a lot of the exhibits, and I...More
