Once you have seen it its ok

Very nice outside and lots of amazing arts. But inside was disappointed for me. I don't know if they change the theme sometimes.

So-so for 18 euros!
Sep 2021 • Couples
The exterior of the museum is fabulous. The inside is tough to follow because the audio guide doesn’t work well, which is ridiculous for paying 18 euros. If you like modern art you’ll probably appreciate it more than I did.

Top marks for building, not so sure about exhibits
Sep 2021 • Couples
It’s probable that I just don’t understand them, but I really didn’t enjoy the exhibitions. Some of the rooms are really oppressive & alarming. I really felt sorry for the staff.
Anyway, if educated artists love it, good luck to them. I wish I’d stayed outside & admired the building some more.

Must see in Bilbao
Aug 2021
The building from the outside is spectacular and it is a matter of taste what you think, I think it is more spectacular than beautiful....
We had bought our tickets online and came in without any trouble.
We saw the different shows, and even though we are not the must culturally minded people we thought it was fun to see.

Just see the outside unless you really like modern
Aug 2021 • Friends
For me I would recommend just visiting the outside of the museum to view the interesting architectural design, the “puppy”, flowers and spider.
The permanent exhibit… you must be a fan of modern art. I was not impressed at all, but that is just me.

Fabulous outside
Aug 2021 • Couples
I wouldn't recommend going inside unless you really like modern art- and I do mean abstract modern art. The building itself is fascinating, along with the outside artwork. However, I did not see 1 interior object that I cared for at all.

Spectacular Building
Aug 2021
The building itself it is worth the day in Bilbao, which nevertheless is a charming contrast of tradition and innovation.
Well organised. Outdoor sculptures impressive. We did not think much of the permanent exhibition but the temporary on the roaring Twenties was really good.

Mini Cruise in the Basque Country
Mar 2021
This was a mini cruise to Bilbao from Southampton for 3 days. The coach picked us up from Bexleyheath. The cabins were very small .Took my own food tho there were many eateries on board.I was sea sick most of the time due to the turbulent Bay of Biscay.I had my food most of the time.in my cabin, went to the dining room once and had food and instantly I was sick .You can get wrist bands for this on board tho I didn't know.
Saw a comedy act,not very funny so went back to my room .Later sat near the window, saw the sea view.
When we reached Bilbao went on a coach trip to see the city.Saw the spectacular Guggenheim in titanium,by Frank Lloyd Wright.the famous American architect.
In the city saw the red beret gendarmes and the famous cafe of ETA where they are plotting independence of the Basque country.Got pic, sell it for a mllion when independent.
Saw some beautiful murals on the ceiling, lovely chapel and a lovely circular library window.
Had a lovely coffee and cakes from a tea shop all included in the price.
On the ship bought a colourful pasta jar and butter dish and some of delicious Spanish crunchy chocolate.
Went for a sauna, later pizza, in the morning had a baguette for breakfast. In the evening went to see a film.I no longer felt sick so I had a good day.
Returned home in a day.The day was sunny so no sea turbulence.
Good value for money,£99 from Newshopper holidays.

Great museum and Cafe in Frank Gehry masterpiece
Jul 2021
This museum amazed me. The permanent installation of Richard Serra's Matter of Time was a unique experience. Walking through the perfectly balanced steel panels felt like the rows of Karnak or another Egyptian Temple. The Puppy by Jeff Koons is iconic and needs to be seen. The temporary exhibit on the twenties that is there now is a fascinating presentation of the era. The lost generation in so many ways it speaks to the narcissisms and overt sexuality of the era. I really enjoyed our visit and only wish that we had more than an afternoon here. The cafe in the museum is also very good. The food is excellent and the service good as well. A nice place to have a meal after a morning visit.

Buenos días, ante todo perdona por la demora en la respuesta.
Es preferible comprar la entrada on-line para evitar colas.
Saludos :)
