The Teatro Campoamor is a very important building because it is the building where they give the awards for the Principe de Asturias Awards. This is always shown on Spanish TV. The design of the building is very good.

Stop by if you have time and check the schedule- there is always a quality performance here. Oviedo is fairly "highbrow" so the Campoamor is a good place to see plays and other events that may be harder to get tickets for in larger cities.

If you are in town and something is on, catch a show at this gorgeous opera house - intimate, welcoming and artistically a very high standard.

We saw a wonderful theatrical comedy in an enchanting theater where the King of Asturias award is presented.

very well know, by the principe asturias awards, but not open to the public, for tours I asked if there was a play in order to get in and told me not that weekend
