We drove through wide expanses of arid moonlike landscape, then down windy roads to finally arrive at a dusty carpark full of cars. We had assumed that few persons would want to visit this faraway place- far from it!! This is a local favourite place for enjoying the great walk and views on a clear day. We had to queue... More

You'll be able to walk on the gardens of an old monastery (the monastery is on ruins) with an amazing combination of waterfalls and lakes, around trees.

Absolutely gorgeous! Great walk and scenery. Very relaxing. Enjoyed the waterfalls and the sound of nature as you are walking the park. Only one bus from Zaragoza goes there. Wished they had more in case you cant stay the entire day- until the bus returns to pick you up.

Arrived early 9.30am expecting to need the whole day to walk round but completed all circuits in 3 hours. We didn't rush but it was quiet, not many visitors. Very well marked routes unfortunately no information maps in English. The scenery and waterfalls were spectacular particularly the gruta iris and pie cola de caballo. The far end beyond the fish... We visited this place by luck. The monastery is pretty but not exceptional. However it is set in an attractive landscape and the park with its fall offers a very nice walk. Cherry on the cake, there are some restaurants on the site. We didn't try any but they looked good.

I went in mid-February and the weather was warm. The sun was Zhong and the birds were chirping. The waterfalls were magnificent. Don't forget to buy some fish food to feed the fish. The views are breathtaking. Great place to get some exercise while enjoying the beauty of nature. Went to the monastery First, then ate some lunch before going... More

Beautiful gardens with waterfalls in the monastery. You will stroll for some hours in a peaceful place. Main building in the monastery is now a quite good hotel and restaurant. Please visit the coffee in the hotel.

This is quite a unique experience. While driving towards the Monasterio de Piedra, the earth was scorched and dry. Once we arrived at this amazing place, we saw running water everywhere in the park and numerous waterfalls. Where does the water come from? It’s truly amazing! At times we had to go down into a large cave, where we could... More

It was about a 3hours journey to-and-fro from Zaragoza to the Monastario with a mid-way stops at Calatayud. Though the journey was long and the trail along the waterfall may be tough for some, the scenery that awaits you is what made the journey worthy.
