This was a wonderful day trip from Sevilla that took only a 30 minute drive from our hotel in our rental car. Directions via iphone were easy and perfect. Only 1.5 euros to visit! This has to be the best value in Europe! The site...More

What a great place to visit if you are interested in Roman history or seeing some beautifully preserved mosaics. The ruins are all in the open air so choose to go in the morning when it's cooler. If you are an EU citizen you can...More

Decided to give Italica a visit, easy to find, free entry for EU citizens, €1.50 for Non EU Citizens. The best free visit available. The mosaic floors are incredible as is the amphitheatre (a mini coluseum).

Is a visit you should not miss if you go to Seville. It has a well preserved Roman circus, besides several houses in its streets. Enjoy Rome in Seville.

The preservation of the amphitheatre and mosaics is unlike any I've ever seen and the trip was incredibly easy using the service busses at the Placa de Armas. Stepping into the amphitheatre was like stepping back in time and knowing that Emperors Hadrian and Trajan...More

The tiny town of Santiponce, 20 mins from Seville was one of the highlights of my trip to Spain. Almost completely deserted and some of the most amazingly preserved Roman ruins in Europe. Cost the princely sum of €1.50 to enter. Make sure you walk...More

Italica is a large open site with many excavated homes and other buildings spread over a considerable area. There is a very impressive arena (apparently seating 25000). The site is in a constant state of excavation and clarification and suffers a bit from a lack...More

Italica is in Santiponce, a few minutes northwest of Seville itself. You might want to make sure you get a bus to Santiponce.
