Ugly Delicious Food Tour

Do you really want to experience our local Spanish food? This is not just another classic “tapas tour”. We are going far beyond to show you not so pretty looking food but also such delicious and traditional food!

Let us guide you through the most exquisite bites of Sevilla & Andalucia cuisine that is accompanied with traditional beverages that you may be unfamiliar with before having it with us.

And... why is it so different from other tapas tours? Well that’s easy! Culturally when people travel, they are not very fond of new “ugly looking” food (and that is why no one offers it), but from the very beginning we will get you interested in it and you will leave loving it...how?

Well, you will go on a walk with one of us and we will tell you about why spanish gastronomy is wide and simple, yet delicious. You will understand more about the food by the history of the products, of their people, wineries, processing and more. All while being apart of a nontraditional tasting experience.

We did the vegetarian paella night with . Antonio was incredibly knowledgable and so interesting. The setting was beautiful. The food, the wine and the sangria were all delicious. Top night, definitely worth the money.

Here are the things about this experience that we enjoyed: - the paella was very good, as was the sangria - we tasted a lovely sherry & learned about it - we met a couple of fun individuals who booked the experience at the same time & we enjoyed their company - the rooftop location was beuatiful. The not so great: - the address they gave (I see they have changed the meeting location instructions since we were there) was inaccurate. We went to the address provided, which was the wrong place. Then we asked multiple locals for directions & noone could figure it out. Our cab driver could not either. This made our arrival very stressful. - The host was very knowledgeable, but conducted the first part of the event like it was a lecture, imparting lots of technical info about Sherry & Sevillan history. It felt a little like school rather than the social eating event we thought we signed up for. - It's not a hands on cooking class, which was OK with us. - We thought we'd learn to make sangria - which was delicious - but did not.

Thank you for your review and feedback but It seems you did not read the profile of the experience so we will like to inform not just you but all of our future guests/customers. 1) About the address, it says on the profile the exact location which is Paseo de las Delicias, 1 by the Restaurant Uno de Delicias across the golden tower (which is one of the highlights to visit in Sevilla an easy to find). Also, once you got the confirmation email you got one email from TripAdvisor and the day befor eyou arrived a message from us to make sure you knew how to find us. Also, if you did not gps it correctly because as we can tell you did not read any information...what can we do? As a customer you also have some obligations... We do not like saying this but we doubt locals and a taxi drive do not know where the Golden Tower is...you probably gave them wrong address. 2) About the lecture, well, it was just a 30min chat about sherry wine and about gastronomy and history which we never got complaints about it, but we know we can not satisfy 100% of people, and in all honesty, we are interested in those people who really enjoyed that part too. 3) As we said before, you DID NOT read the profile, not even the TITLE cause it says "Showcooking" and there is no place where it says it would be a cooking class. 4) Also, you learnt how to make Sangria, there is no one who never learnt how, I do not know why you are saying this. 5) Again, as we said, thank you for your feedback because it let us improve in many ways, sometimes, like this, there is no way just because you did not read the profile of the experience, so please, for your future activities, read more, so you will have the real activity you are looking for with the real expectations and also you will not hurt serious companies like us who work really hard everyday to content our guests and visitors as they mention in the 95% of the reviews.

Everything about this experience was excellent. Antonio was educated, well spoken, and was able to explain the culinary history of Spain in such an engaging way. The food was delicious and we were able to take the recipes home to try. The view from the rooftop was incredible and was the perfect setting to this experience. Would highly recommend to someone.

We had a great time, plenty of wine and sangria and learning more about the history of the wines and food. Watching Paella being cooked properly and learning how to do it ourselves was such an experience and one of the best experiences we have done in Seville. Makes a change from the usual touristic attractions. Antonio was a brilliant host, with the right amount of interaction and humour and Beatrice our chef is superb! Fair to say we ate enough, and really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend!
