Housed in one of the very fine surviving Mudejar pavilions from the 1929 Spanish-American Fair in Maria Luisa Park, this is more than the extensive collection of flamboyant flamenco frocks you might expect– though they are certainly there in abundance! There also are ceramics from Triana, handsome furniture, and ancient artisan equipment from blacksmiths’ gear to wine presses, all of which give a taste of life in 19th-century Andalucía. The highlight – along with the tiles – is the historic collection of fabulously colorful posters advertising the city’s famous April Fair, a fascinating gallop through changing trends in graphic design. Look for the striking Art Deco poster from 1930. Closed on Mondays

Opposite the archeological museum this museum has a small but very interesting collection of lace. The work is amazingly intricate and well displayed. There is also an interesting section on rural life with a video in Spanish showing the work of shephards in the hills....More

We went here after the archaeological museum and found it fascinating, as I do a lot of sewing it was amazing to see the intricacy of the lace designs. Worth a visit, if only for the lace.

There was much more than lace and embroidery. The undercroft has been divided up into rooms and good videos on how the tools displayed were used. There were room settings through Seville's history too.

Located in a beautiful palace, this museum is a very reasonably priced place to visit. Perhaps they should charge more and upgrade it. The floor that was temporarily closed had been so for 11 years! The workshops are interesting especially if you have any idea...More

This museum has plenty of artifacts, but virtually no explanation of any of them. No information on place of discovery, year made, etc... An ancient bowl would just say "bowl." I did not learn much, and ended up speeding through the museum to leave. Would...More

We were first attracted by the beauty of this building. A stunner. When we went wanted to see the traditional costumes section but it was closed. Bummer. However to my surprise, they have a great area all about the traditional artisans, such as guitar making,...More

Worth price of admission. Beautiful building. Many different arts on display. Get out of the rain or heat and have a nice stroll though. I found the mechano set I had as a child.

A fabulous building in a really nice park. Unfortunately when we went one of the main floors was closed and the other exhibits were a little disappointing. It all felt a bit neglected but it was interesting enough and didn't feel like a waste of...More
