Nice stroll to get here through narrow quaint streets of Albayzin district. Great views of the whole city - perfect for taking pictures!

Beautiful views, though not comparable to San Nicholas lookout. Still, if you are wandering around Albayzin, it is quite worth to make a detour, time allowing. If you have time for one lookout only - choose San Nicholas.

The taxi dropped us there and this was eventually a good idea. The views are gorgeous From there, we went down hill toward the old city, couple stops for beers and tapas. What a beautiful memorable day

This is probably the 2nd best lookout of Granada to see the Alhambra. Not as popular as Mirador de San Nicolás, it's much quieter and you don't have to jostle with other tourists to get a great view of Alhambra. The downside is that this...More

Mirador de San Cristobal is another great viewpoint near St Nicholas. The view has more of the town and the cathedral as well as several nice churches which you don't see from St Nicholas.

Mirador de San Cristobal offers similar views to that of the more famous Mirador de San Nicolas and is about a 10 minute walk away. As it is higher up it offers a better view of the city, but you'll probably get better views of...More

Walking in Granada, getting lost in Granada, exploring Granada on foot, is by far the best way to enjoy what Granada has to offer ! When you go high, you have the best view possible, and that is what Mirador de san Cristobal offers !...More

This is a great square to go for some great views of the city and some time with locals, but in a quieter area than other parts of the city. I would recommend going here, some of the tours take you here. I liked it...More

It is quite something to reach the mirador after wondering around the narrow streets of El Albaicin. Granada is a magic place, but reaching the mirador in the evening is just breathtaking, you can see La Alhambra and the hill on top of Granada. It...More

Best time to visit this place is just before sunset. This is also the best time to make pictures. Don't wait until the sun has set completely (as most of the people do), because then the light has gone and the red shine on the...More

We are going next fall... The first day we plan on going to San Nicolas for sunset views of Alhambra followed by dinner and show at Jardine de Zoraya Think we will take the Tourist Train that allows On and off and go to Alhambra from Catedral stop After Alhambra, do the Paseo Trieste Then hop off at near San Nicolas (Placeta de Abad?) Walk to Plaza Larga Then walk to Mirador San Cristobal Then walk to Plaza de San Miguel Bajo to get back on the bus for Catedral, etc 1. Is this a reasonable plan, especially for Second day - Full Day 2. Is the walk mentioned within Albaicin (San Nicolas - Plaza Larga - San Cristobal - Plaza San Miguel) "tough" for seniors like CLIMBING, etc though with several stops for "look around" On Google maps it does NOT look too hard, But those maps do not show ELEVATIONS Watching Albaicin videos on YouTube is "SCARY" But, IMO, Granada IS Alhambra and Albaicin????? All advice is welcome Thanks

Allow plenty of time at Alhambra - I think 4 hours would be a minimum. But Albaicin is very hilly and like a rabbit warren (albeit a very interesting place for walkers). I think the view from San Nicholas back to Alhambra... More
