Beautiful gardens!

This was the summer palace of the Nasrid kings. It has beautiful gardens and fountains and beautiful arches. It is a part of the Alhambra complex.

The other side of the Sierra Nevada in Almaria lies Europes dryest area, so it is easy to see why they built the gardens of Generalife and the entire Alhambra citadel on top of a copious supply of fresh water here in Granada. This water is used not only for irrigation but to provide running water for washing as part... More

To walk between the green of Generalife is an unforgetable experience. You already have constructions of the past with peculiar details.

One more "must" in Granada. The architecture in Generalife is breathtaking though a bit less impressive than this in Palacios Nazaries. I would suggest to start the visit from Generalife and going to Alhambra after that.

Do not miss the Generalife when visiting Granada one of the main attractions of the city. The gardens are wonderful with water features and fountains.

Nice to visit as part of the Alhambra complex. Well lid out and maintained gardens. Needs prior booking as entries are limited per day.

Attached to the AlHambra, the gardens have both formal areas and water features Quite large but walkable in about half an hour. Go before or after the palace, depending upon your arrival and assigned time slot.
