Amazing place! You definitely need more than 1 hours to visit it all, maybe even more than two (while I was visiting, 12oct2016 there was another arts exhibition upstairs included in the price of the ticket). Basically museum is interactive and consists of two floors divided into 4 sectors alltogether. There are lots of information about nature, climate, people, history,... More

Let's get the obvious out of the way: this place is a trek to get to (25-30 minute walk from the cathedral) and has weird hours. But it is SO worth it if you're even a little bit interested in history, culture, or geography. This museum is well-designed, telling the history of Andalusia through four different lenses (geography/geology, cities, way... More

What is a museum? It's a repository of stories. Museums are about narrative, telling the most important stories of a people, an environment, a subject. Too often museum curators ignore their storytelling obligation and just plonk objects willly nilly. Not the curators of Museo Caja Granada Memoria de Andalucia. This is amongst the very best museums I've ever visited; and... More

Modern interactive museum, which tells about the history of Andalusia from ancient times to current days. As opposite to the 'normal' museum, you can touch many things to see it working. Also have interactive screens, where you can listen the stories of typical citizens of different Spanish regions. Recommended to visit with kids.

Great guided tour given by the lady today. In Spanish and English. You get to see where Lorca did most of his writing in the summer. Highly recommend.

A gorgeus building by architect Campos Baeza containing a unique, contemporary and experiential Museum. Both are worthy a visit: the building and the museum itself.

We are avid museum-goers and have visited museums in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific. In this way we can learn something about the history and culture of different places where we travel. This is one of the most interesting museums we have visited in terms of the techniques and materials used to acquaint the... More

The museum is new and has gorgeous exhibits about the history of the region. there was a fantastic exhibit of a Brazilian painter which juxtaposed his work with his fabulous collection of African art. In the morning there are school groups. we had the place entirely to ourselves in the afternoon. It's a little out of the way. From Gran... More

It is a very interesting place with very well designed audiovisual presentations teaching you about the history of the region. The visit takes about 1.5 hours.

The Museo Caja Granada Memoria de Andalucía is a museum that does not get many visitors, but it is a very good museum that has plenty of information about the history of Granada and Andalucía. There are many displays that explain geography and history. There was one exhibit that showed how they made the plaster casts to decorate the Alhambra.
