While on holidays recently my Husband and I tried to visit the Pimentel Tower. It can only be seen from a distance which is a pity. There are souvenier shops and cafes around it but you can't actually get near the tower. Shame that it is not promoted more and more access to it.

As this tower is supposedly what gave Torremolinos it's name, it is such a shame you can't get to it! You can see some of it from behind the cheap and nasty shops. On the steps or from the beach road you can see it almost in its entirety - but from a bigger distance. Also visible from the Cervantes... More

The tower that give Torremolinos its name hidden up the accent or decent of "Esacalera" It's pretty anonymous and note signposted, & impossible to visit, so you'll have to look up at it from the street, amongst the bars & cafes & nic nack shops that surround it!

Pimentel Tower is one of those sights that I never understood what it is .. It is there, near Calle San Miguel at the beginning of the descent of the "Esacalera" leading directly to the playa. A turret fairly anonymous and impossible to visit, but you'll have to observe it from distance.

I am very lucky. I spent only one night in Torremolinos before flying on to a proper holiday resort, The whole town is just a mess of fish and chip shops, loud bars full of loud, uncouth people and tatty restaurants all selling the same food. The streets are dirty, the hotels are all high-rise boxes that ruin the skyline.... More

This is what gave the town it's name "Torres de los Molinos" and yet it sits looking quite forlorn at the top of the steps up from the beach to Calle San Miguel. What it really needs is for some TLC and for it to be turned into a small museum of the area. As it is, only the birds... More

The Pimentel Tower is not an obvious attraction and there is no access to it . It stands as a sturdy and powerful reminder of bygone days in Torremolinos. It stands proudly at the top of the famous San Miguel steps. linking the town to the Bajondillo beach. Surrounded by modern bars and restaurants it provides a nostalgic glimpse of... More
