We have been regular customers of Morrissey’s for two years. Coming in several times a month before the lockdown, and it was always our “go to” place to watch sporting events.. We were really pleased to see that they are open again for evenings. And they now have a sign outside advertising all “cocktails” €4.50.. We usually drink beer here but my wife decided to order a vodka drink. When we received our bill we were charged six euros for our vodka drink. We asked the server why we were not being charged the advertised price she explained to us that we did not specifically order a “cocktail” when we placed our drink order. She refused to honor the advertised cocktail price. When we asked to speak to a manager she said there was nobody there that could help us. Very sad they would treat any customer like this, let alone regular customers.. In addition, we ordered the “jumbo” chicken wing appetizer. We have always really enjoyed the appetizers there. But these jumbo chicken wings are barely bigger than toothpicks. Very sad as well.. Not sure what happened to these guys. Maybe they changed ownership???

Rude

Bar staff just rude. Would not have gone apart from wanting to watch football. Barmaid just treats you with contempt. Unbelievable! And paid 4 euros for a beer for the pleasure. Avoid!

Told us they were going to change the sports channel to suit another person, when we said we were not happy their service changed to Basil Fawlty style rudeness. Fair play, you were spot on terrible 😱☹️

Typical Irish Theme Bar

Usual Irish themed bar but with some actual Irish bar staff. Busy, friendly staff, food steady, Logan if TVs, good for a group.

'Top Marks' for an excellent pint of Kilkenny Red Bitter.

This is as good as it gets for a UK type pub in Spain. Service is prompt, beer is served at the right temperature in a proper straight glass and the selection of cocktails is beautifully served and certainly not expensive, in fact, excellent value for money. The bonus being, if you enjoy ‘people watching’ time flies!!! - The 'Six (Following) Yes’s 'just says it all!!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
Sep 2019
Rude, annoying, unfriendly and insulting that's how I would describe the staff in this bar. Even though they were all women bar staff they refused to serve women at the bar. When we moved seat the waitress completely lost it and insisted I pay my bill as if I was going to leave without paying. They advertise sports events and then refuse to turn off the music so the commentary can be heard. Avoid at all cost. There are lots of great bars and Cafes in Malaga and really friendly people but not in this establishment.

Great Irish Pub.

If there's one Irish pub I know I am going to visit on any trip I take to Malaga its Morrisseys Irish Pub.
This pub is awesome, a proper pubby interior, a solid wood serving bar, beautiful decor and furnishings, great paintings on the walls, exposed brickwork, tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around Morrisseys Irish Pub.
We were here on a Saturday afternoon, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,we opted to have bottles of Cruzcampo beer, served iced cold, we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
My beer was exceptional, the beer most associated with Seville,Cruzcampo beer is a light, hoppy beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink,a beer perfect for the hot climate you get in this region of Spain.
We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Morrisseys Irish Pub is easy to locate on a street called Called Mendez Nunez.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Thursday, 1pm till 2am.
Friday & Saturday, 1pm till 3am.
Sunday, 1pm till 2am.
A great pub,if your in the area well worth checking out .
