This museum is a journey through time. It is necessary for the recent generation to know how different life and all the circumstances have been. It is important not to take our luxury life of nowadays as natural. This museum keeps the memories alive.

This is an oasis and feels tucked away but is very accessible. The entry is reasonably priced and the collection is beautifully curated. Spread over several floors in a lovely building, each corner holds a vignette of life, work or leisure in different settings and times. The exhibits are fascinating and, whilst this is not an interactive space, it feels... More

Nice straight walk up by riverside from CAC or so I thought. Roadworks sort of messed up the route so had to ask for directions a couple of times. Lovely old building , beautifully restored with 18 rooms of exhibits on life in Malaga in times gone by. Patio to sit and relax and absorb the atmosphere. A 19th century... More

I spent two fascinating hours in this little museum on my last morning in Malaga because it was raining, but it was so interesting that it turned out to be one of the highlights of my stay. The museum gives an insight into life in Malaga in the past with beautiful costumes, posters, reconstructions of an oil press, wine press... More

A fascinating look at all sorts of Malaga's history with really good exhibits and explanations. Doesn't seem to attract a lot of tourists, which is a shame.

If you have plenty of time and want to see all museums then go also to this one. There were not explanations of almost anything and it was more like a deposit of old stuff all put together. I was expecting better. 4 euro entrance is too much for this museum in Spanish standards. Kids were annoyed. You are not... More

This museum, housed in an old inn with central courtyard, houses an excellent collection of tools, kitchen equipment, clothing and ephemera from Malaga's history. If it seems slightly haphazard, that's because lives are. We were fascinated by some of the religious artefacts, and loved the posters. The museum covers probably two hundred years of popular culture - there are parallels... More

A very interesting collection of items that would be used by ordinary people in their everyday lives. It gave you a good idea of the history of the city. Well worth a visit.

Try this little museum to get a background of the spanish way if life in the past. Fantastic old posters of past ferias and fiestas. Great little museum will only take an hour to go round. Lovely interior patio with well. Charming
