Central square of Malaga

Located in the heart of the old town it attracts many citizens and major events are held there. Elegant houses, close to shopping street Calle Larios. Pleasant place.

On our first visit Constitution Square was lined with stands for the Film Festival and Larios with the red carpet. On our last week it was Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week - streets again line with stands. We felt lucky to see at least 4 of the religious floats on that day. Lots of little cafes and tapas... More

This is an interesting square to wander around and enjoy a drink or snack any time of the day, and a meeting place for the Spanish families in the evenings.

Before and at Easter the plaza is filled with seatings for the parades and one of the centers for parades. Lots of cafes and nice old houses - a place to visit several times.

At the top of Larios, this is a wonderful and sunny spot to people watch and relax, sit on the balcony of LA Canasta cake and coffee shop and absorb the atmosphere.

We were glad we saw this on our first day as after that the centre was closed off as they were erecting seating for Santa Semana (Easter week). There are lots of shops and bars here - and at 11am every morning you can join a "free" guided tour of Malaga (at the end you pay the guide what you... More

If you are visiting the City of Malaga you will doubtless be spending a lot of time in and around the pedestrianised old town (where some vehicles are still allowed to travel so be watchful) at the centre of which is Plaza de la Constitution – the meeting place as well at 11.00am for the FREE Malaga city walking tours... The square itself looks nice, with palmtrees right on it. We used to go to Cafe Central to have a beer with the locals, but a year ago it had a redesign. It does not look as cosy as it used to... But, nevertheless, it's a nice spot for a drink with a nice overlook on the square, watching people... More

After a horse and cart ride which showed us in and around the town...including the bull ring we opted for a walk around the center which was for me not one of the better centres we have looked around.Cadiz, which we visited only a year before was simply stunning, and although we found some lovely little back alleys with a few shops,out...
