We must have come here at least 10 times during our trip. We went on a buggy ride here and went for lunch and drinks at restaurants along the promenade. Its simply beautiful here. Last night he proposed here and I said yes so its somewhere that will we will remember fondly forever and hopefully visit many more times.

I was cautious of visiting the Port after my parents stopped here on a cruise last year, and as they disembarked, a woman came and grabbed my elderly Mothers' hand and proceeded to "read her palm" - before aggressively demanding 5 euro's! Thankfully she seems to have moved on (!) and on our regular trips along the beautifully presented and... More

You should definitely visit the port. Lovely environment with sea boats and cafes. There are many taverns but really expensive.

The port is within easy walking distance of the city centre and the beach. It has been totally transformed over the last 10 years with a new cruise terminal, a fantastic new museum (Centre Pompidou Malaga) and a traffic free walkway with many shops restaurants and entertainments. On Sunday mornings there is an artisan type market and when we last... More

Take a lovely stroll along by the port where you will locate some very nice restaurants and bars. Continue walking and you will come across some shops and restaurants. Keep going and you will come to the beach where we sat and had a nice relaxing seafood lunch. Lovely bustle with joggers, cyclists and dog walkers.

The new Puerto de Malaga, no more than a 5-minute walk from both the city center and the Malagueta Beach, is one of the must-see areas of the city. Not only does it boast a sister-museum of the famous french Centre Pompidou, it also houses the Museu Alborania, several cafés (some with live music), a ferris wheel, numerous restaurants and,... Everyone strolls along here and many bars or cafes to stop at and enjoy the views. Plus very clean free public toilets in between the shops.

We saw the area in November whe. We had a short stop on a cruise ship. It is a great facility, lots of shops, bars and restaurants, all overlooking the harbour and you can people watch as well as list after some of the fabulous yachts moored alongside.
