The building where Pablo Picasso was born in 1881 and lived until 1884 houses works and personal belongings of the artist and his family. A specialized library and an on-going program of temporary exhibitions and cultural activities complement the offer of Picasso's Birthplace Museum.

We came here with a tour guide which is a good idea. He connected this place and others in Malaga with Picasso. Interesting to find out about the influence of his father on his artistic talent and about his many romances. Steps away from this...More

While interesting it is where Picasso was born, there is an apartment a few doors down where he lived for 11 years but you can't see it! This place is very small but for €3 you may as well if you are there. Easy to...More

This small museum is situated in the house where Picasso was born. Really interesting to hear about the early years of Picasso's life and his development into one of the most famous artists and Spaniards in the world. Great for art lovers and interesting to...More

Málaga’s most famous resident is, unsurprisingly, Pablo Ruiz Picasso. Though his father’s surname was Ruiz, he chose the alliterative last name of his mother: Picasso. Diagonally across from Plaza de la Merced, this was the apartment building Pablo Picasso was born, on the second floor....More

I agree with one of the other reviewers that you need to be a real Picasso fan to find this place of much interest. It is not particularly dynamic and the recorded information on the handset is confusing at times.

Uninteresting. Just a waste of money (4 euro for the entrance fee). You cannot take a picture inside of the house. Better if you just take a picture in front of the house and take a picture with the statue of Picasso nearby the house.

On the corner of the Plaza de la Merced is the apartment where Pablo Picasso was born and lived for about 3 years. There are a few paintings displayed and some artifacts and memorabilia which might have belonged to the family. I'm afraid to say...More

Save time: skip this and go straight to the Picasso Museum 5 minutes away on foot. Yes, this is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso. You quickly find out however that he only lived there for a few years as a child. The exhibits include diverse...More

The chance to see where Picasso grew up and to see his pretty comfortable surroundings. An interesting adjunct to the Picasso Museum.
