Picasso's birth building and and museum is right there. About 15 minutes by taxi from the central railway station.

Always a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Cafe Bruselas is the best place to sit and the prices are very reasonable .

A nice plaza in the central part of old Malaga features a bronze statue of a seated Picasso within easy view of the house (apartment) where Picasso spent his first ten years of life. Many restaurants, shops, and small hotels and hostels in the area...More

We stayed nearby and this place always had something going on and had a nice vibe. It particularly comes to life in the evenings. One side is lined with reasonably priced bars and restaurants catering for just about every taste. Lots of tv screens showing...More

Nice place to stay. Restaurants not the best. Good bars. Good place for breakfast. Too many tourists. No parking.

Near Mercado de la Merced you will find this square and a bronze statue of Picasso sitting on a bench. There are a number of bars and tapas restaurants that are great and cheap eateries with a lot of atmosphere. Do not miss it.

Grabbed a coffee coming through and relaxed here for a while. From what I understand the monument is in remembrance of those u had died in the name of Spanish freedom..but don't take my word for it as my Spanish is terrible.

Big space, with not too much to look at. It's also used for concerts and misc. activities. In one end you can enjoy afternoon sun enjoying a glas cava or some lovely tapas - not pricy. I've been here many times.

Yes - try Restaurante Vegetariano Cañadú, Plaza de la Merced, 21 Málaga - (+34) 952 60 27 19. Very good reviews. It's on the opposite side of the Plaza to Picasso's house. Enjoy.
