The Palace of Viana is a lived house until the end of 20th century by noble families but with a great popular flavor instead. One of its main attractiveness are the "patios" and the garden that make it be known as Museum of the Patios. Indoor and outdoor are perfectly integrated, giving to the palace an original harmony. Among the collections stand out paintings, tapestries, leather and ceramic tiles among others.

We visited here and really enjoyed seeing the patios. They do not give tours in English, which was really a bummer. We just tagged along with the guided tour and read about it in the brochure as we looked around. The palace is really pretty...More

We really enjoyed these linked formal patios. The information panels throughout the palace are really interesting and bring perspective to the experience. Not overwhelmingly loud just tranquil and quiet. Mind you it was not busy when we were there and August is not the busy...More

We went here with great expectionsa of seeing pretty patios, but they really were average - hardly any colour, but that could've been to do with the time of year (September). We did say that all of the courtyards could do with some TLC &...More

A quiet spot to view 12 or so exquisite courtyard gardens, each with its own style. wWe only did the courtyards but spent over an hour viewing them. They are beautifully presented, well maintained, and the planting is very pretty. Well worth the visit.

Maybe I was just lucky, but I had the whole place to myself. There are 13 beautiful patios to see with many wonderful plants. A little oasis away from the crowds - shhh!

Hi Martin. We are located in Santa Marina quartier, into the old town. So it´s difficult to park in this area. The nearest place where you can park is Plaza de Colón, 5 minutes walking from the Palace. And if you like to... More
