I enjoyed this visit particularly because of the excellent boards showing what each part was used for. Very scenic place in beautiful setting. Only dissappointment was being unable to go into wonderful gardens due to ongoing excavation work. It still has much more to reveal...More

Please devote some time and respect to this incredible monument. We drove to the site, well marked but follow the signage-GPS will steer you to a field! There is an excellent museum and cafe. The food was good and inexpensive relative to other museum restaurants....More

Large car park with museum and visitor centre then you take a coach to the actual site. The museum part is below ground and not as large or comprehensive as I imagined. The site itself is huge, and has many interpretive panels to help explain...More

This is a well-restored ruin of an entire arabic town with palace and gardens. The gardens were restored in the 1960s and were/are the largest in El Andalus. The arches and sufficient of the city remains to give a real feel for how it once...More

We drove out there - you can get a bus from Cordoba. Car parking is at the museum which is well done and covers the history, etc. Entrance free for EU citizens. However, transfer to the actual ruins is €2.10 per person (return) by bus....More

Lovely ruins, right outside of Cordoba. Must see to get the whole picture of what Cordoba must have been like ...10 centuries ago! Don't forget, most monuments are closed on Monday!

I would suggest parking or arriving at museum at least by 11am and bring pack lunch with plenty of drinks. Tickets are free for EU but the ride up the approx 2km road is 2.20 euros, you have to pay for the bus separate and...More

I was angry, because its imposible to go only to ruins. You HAVE TO go first to the museum and you have go there only by their bus (2,10 euro). There is no option to leave your car on the parking near the ruins.

The site andalucia has information about this place. Type in Madinat Al Zahra and you will see it. I couldn't write it as a proper web link because TA did not allow it.
