The museum of Luther's birthplace and his death place can be visited on a combined ticket for a mere sum of 8 Euros. You can also combine his parents home as well, but we didn't have the time for this. The museum has recently been refurbished with nice interactive displays and displays about death (great). The only reason this site gets a 3 instead of a 5 is that many of the Luther sites were under renovation in anticipation of the anniversary of the founding of the Lutheran church. Therefore, we did not get to see these locations up close and in person. While we were disappointed, we... More

Wittenberg offers visits to the home of Martin Luther and his wife (now a museum) along with other sites associated with his history and the local artists (Lucas Cranach and his son) who operated there at the time of Luther's activities. The Castle Church where his proclamations were posted may be visited -- but the town has nice amenities for... More
