This is a beautiful old church in Zwickau. It was closed this time we went to it. Not certain if it was the day of the week or construction. When we were there 18 years ago we were able to climb the tower. This is a childhood memory of my parents so it has sentimental value. It is near the pedestrian zone, so if you are in the city you'll want to see it.

The 800 years old cathedral dominates the town center holding a lot of history between its walls. Some reinforcement works was done, as the structure of the church was affected by foundation movement. The landmark of Zwickau is surrounded by many nice restaurants & cafes.

I wish it would've been open, it looks amazing from the outside! It seems to me like the foundation is being reinforced or something because almost the whole backside is closed off.

This is a very pretty church inside. There is quite a bit of construction going on at the moment to fix some structural issues but it is a nice visit none the less. It has a very interesting, long history as well.

This is a beautiful church partly from the end of the 12th Century. There are problems with the construction due of mining in earlier centuries. Fortunately all is under control in the mean time.
