Main reason to visit is the view of Dresden from the top of the tower. I suggest to do it first thing in town so it can helpful in having a better idea about the city.

The walk up this tower is not really worth it as it is located on one corner of the old town. New Town Hall or The Neues Rathaus was built after the Old Town Hall became too small for an ever-expanding city. It was built in neo-Renaissance style from 1905-1910. During the 1946 bombings this building was damaged but it... More

Well, if you feel, you should have a look at Dresden from the top with every church and the Cathedral of the Lady as well - you are to go to the top of the Town Hall`s Tower. There`s even a lift available, provided the Public Servants do have working... More

To see the city from this vantage point and to compare it to the photographs after the 1945 firebombing is a must-do on a visit to Dresden

If you like art from this period, you'll love it. There's a tour to be taken throughout, which was good. There's also a very nice cafe and also a restaurant to enjoy. We had coffee and cake. Beautiful atmosphere all around. Well worth the time and entry fee for the tour.
