We took the steamship DRESDEN for 45 minutes towards the bridge " Blaues Wunder " that survived the WW2. Walked for 10 minutes to the elevator/lift Schwebebahn. Had a wonderful panoramic view over the Dresden city and region. Came down by the same cable train and were brought back to the city with a Sightseeing bus. Top attraction, good value... More

It a very interesting mode of transport. Not very high or steep like the one going to the top of the Merkure mountain, but good fun! The views from the top are spectacular. There is also a great coffee shop with a very jovial and cheerful guy, who served us good coffee and also some interesting titbits about Dresden!

This is an old suspension railway. It's a little way out of the town but not difficult to get there by tram. The locals were very helpful in pointing us to the correct trams. We walked across the bridge and got a good view of the river (the view is called Das blaue Wunder - the Blue Wonder). There is... More

We took the tourist hop on hop off bus all the way to the Blue Wonder Bridge stop. There we walked around the corner and took the funicular all the way to the top. At the top we walked up the stairs to see the view of the Loschwitz Elbe bridge known today as the blue wonder bridge

Its 20 mins away from the city by tram. However, at this location you can enjoy another old train line, blue wonder and Schiller Garden restaurant. The view from the top is good. There are small coffee shop at the top. Also small run down museum at the station.

This is a must do attraction when visiting Dresden. It is a little out of the way from the city itself, however... the views are stunning. If you are one of these people that likes to travel on all kinds of transport, this is for you. Many elderly people enjoyed doing this for the view. There is a 15 minute... More

Schwebebahn is the oldest suspension railways still in existence in the world. We bought a return ticket for 5 Euros & had a lovely time. While going up felt the ascending car pulling up weight of the descending car & vice versa on the return ride when i felt that the rail was going down much slower than it normally would have!... We took a tram no. 12 from one of the main squares and then it's a quick walk across the bridge to this cable car. If you have a travel car from the teams you get half price entry.... Making it €3 for the return trip. Distracting enough way to pass time. There is a cafe up the top service... More
