You can buy a "Tagesticket" (ticket for 1 day for 2 persons is 10 Euros). At the friendly and customer oriented tourist info you get told where to get off the "Schwebebahn" and what to visit.

There are not many Suspensions Railways in the world and the one on Wuppertal is world famous. See the architecture and get into the Story of the elephant who rode the train.

First time travelling in "hanging" train wagons, worth to have a go if you are in Wuppertal. It's inexpensive and a popular way of travelling within the city. Great views. I believe they are the first ones ever on it's type.

When this was built it was considered to be quite magnificent and I do know somebody who wants came all the way from Vienna just to see the monorail. For me it wasn't exactly jawdropping but good fun nonetheless

I was mesmerised to see the suspended train both as an engineer and as a visitor. Great combination of technology, space optimisation and view all in one.
