When sightseeing, you will end up here by default, either walking towards or back from the Tower, following the crowds out of the marketplace or just naturally coming to it from one of the many busy streets. There are many some nice eateries, and many...More

not to miss a great stroll along the river, from the historic market to the new modern buildings named Medienhafen. Relax, admire the river and stop for a great snack and a good traditional beer in the many open air bars and pubs.

I would give this 3.5, as it is a good stroll along the river bank, with numerous cafes and nice views but it is limited, as that is all there is to it, as walk and a drink/meal. The weather was glorious, which helps

A must-see on any trip to Dusseldorf, but mainly to enjoy the view and choose a restaurant or bar for a few beers on the Rhine. It I not very long, so don't expect and extended tour unless you are drinking and dining.

Even in a big town, the Rhine remains worth a visit. In Düsseldorf you can sit, eat and drink in the many bars alon this impressive river. Don't forget to take a short boat trip so that you wan admire Düsseldorf from the water.

When strolling along this promenade you can choose whether you want to do it "upstairs" or "downstairs". Either way there is enough room for people riding bikes, jogghing or simply enjoying the view. The promenade is parallel to the Rhine. There are plenty of benches...More

We are staying at the Sheraton Airport Hotel for one full day waiting for connecting flights. We would like to see the old town and the Rhine river. Can you suggest how we should get from the Hotel to the Old Town and Promenade and what to do when we get there. Thanks
