Yes, this early November day was sunny and it was appealing to be on a platform like a hundred years ago and see the steaming, puffing locomotive drive in with its passenger trailers. Children cheered, older people had shiny eyes - and when I climbed...More

The most amazing steam railway taking you through the villages and towns of North Germany terminating at the delightful seaside resort of Kunlungsborn. This is an authentic railway which is still used to commute by the locals. This is an experience not to be missed...More

One of a number of steam narrow gauge railways that survived in (former East) Germany, but surely the only one that takes you down the main street of a town. That may be the highlight (you can get up from a café table and board...More

Genuine steamtrain, well renovated. Ideal alternative for car or public transport if you are staying in Bad Doberan or Heiligendamm. First (or last) stops are through center of Bad Doberan.

The narrow gauge Mollie steam train was part of an excursion with Cunard. The train itself has been lovingly restored and although the original seating is perhaps not as comfortable as we expect on modern trains the experience of being in a carriage pulled by...More

We waved friends off on this little train while we took the regular train service to Rostok - they reported that it was a great way of avoiding the rain and was a very enjoyable for anyone with limited mobility.

Enjoyed the trip on Molly! It is very quick and runs through the picturesque countryside. Drink a little bottle of bubbly on the train, even with it's own custom label.
