Go up to the monument via the cable car for the best views of the surrounding area. Nice cafe and terrace at the top again with excellent views. Monument is awesome, very big and history is fascinating
The cable car ride up to niederwald monument offers some magnificent panoramic views over rudesheims old town the Rhine and endless rows of vines.the monument is magnificent,you can get refreshments near to the monument.
The journey to Rudesheim by boat takes you through the spectacular Rhine Gorge with this little place a great place to stop off.

Great place for taking photos with lots of places to wander and walk. Huge statue and surrounding area with big staircase to platforms overlooking vineyards and river. Lovely mature trees all around. Gets very busy.
The gondolien is indeed for two Persons but it is comfortable. We visited the place outside the peak tourist season and did not need to queuing for the ticket office. July might be different. Better to reserve time for that... More

Better to reserve time for that or check out if the have online booking which could make it quicker. If you have time it is also nice to walk back instead taking the gondola. On the walking trip back to the village you see lovely wine fields and a monastery with their winery.
