I had a great time up here. I ended up taking the cable car up and hiking over to Sesselbahn to take the ski lifts down. There are some cool sites to see along the way.

Highlight to this monument was the cable car 10min ride to the top, travelling over many vineyards and with great views left and right. Once at the top we just walked up to the monument and took some spectacular photos looking down over the township.

It was a fantastic location to sail through the wine fields with another ecstatic view of Rhein.The gigantic statue stands magnificiant and tells us the history.

The gondolien is indeed for two Persons but it is comfortable. We visited the place outside the peak tourist season and did not need to queuing for the ticket office. July might be different. Better to reserve time for that... More
