The Wasserkuenste (or 'Wasserspiele') are the centerpiece of their Bergpark. Designed some 3 centuries ago the Park and water arrangements are so unique that they were declared a UNESCO world cultural heritage a few years back. Cascades, aqueduct, waterfalls, fountains, just fantastic. The Wasserkuenste are...More

We had a nice stroll through the park with the family. Nice views, great forest and waterworks. We missed the actual fountains and waterfalls since this is only on sunday, monday and holidays around 15:00.

The best place to visit in Kassel. Once a month, the first Saturday of the month, they are illuminating the fountains

This is an amazing thing to see if you can arrange to be there for a day and time they have it scheduled to flow. During college art history classes, these types of garden waterworks are included, but I just kind of remember fountains...blah blah...More

it was a nice experience since I live in Kassel for 2 years and finally got to see it. But you have to check before if it is working, sometimes due to reconstruction plan they cancel the show

It is a pity that nobody informed us that this building is under construction till 2018. You can climb up the hills and take a look at this building, but to be honest I would only go here to enjoy the view over the city....More

If you had 100 places to go before you died, then this is one of my top 10 places to see. As you enter the Park, you are overwhelmed with it dimensions and beauty It is man made and breathtaking.

Kassel is a beautiful city with a wealth of historic and cultural attractions! The Bergpark, with a huge statue of Hercules gracing the crest of the ridge, is the anchor-point for cascading waters that flow through well-maintained gardens where gorgeous floral displays abound.
