We visited the "Castle" on a Saturday. The entrance fee is not that much but we were completely dissappointed for the lack of explanations in each room and that the only available información was only in German. Besides, two of the beautiful rooms were closed to the public and there wasn't any indication at the entrance. That's why I wouldn't... More

While most of the rooms of this castle are occupied by administrative offices, the historic rooms are accessible, and at times it is possible to access the tower. Take a stroll through the park as well, if the weather is nice.

Many people visit Fulda to see the cathedral. Just a few metres away is the city palace of the former abbots of Fulda. It is one of the most beautiful city palaces in Germany and was not hit by the war. Some of the rooms are used nowadays by the city administration. In case there is a wedding, the chapel... More

It is a pretty cool castle. Go do the guided tour (if you speak German) and learn some more about it. Otherwise just take a walk around the castle garden!

We spent a very interesting and quiet wander around this Schloss and it is really quite beautiful. Well "stocked" with curios, wonderful rooms and corridors. A great place to while away an hour or so.

This castle and its grounds is beautifully preserved. It is easy to walk around and very elegant. Part of the building is used for city offices and special musical events now, but there is still plenty to explore. Don't miss the walk up to the tower for the views ( you need to ask how to get to that area... More

The history of the castle began in the 14. century, but it was rebuilt several times. The form of today dates back to 18. century. You can visit just one part of it, as it is used as the City Hall, and they are working still today in it. Some of the halls are decorated with frescos, on the second... More

A beautiful place to visit. Make sure you do the guided tour. Less porcelain than I expected, but more than enough for the children)

This is a major landmark in Fulda. Do not miss the room of the mirrors, try a selfie there! It is a wonderful 17th century castle. The restauration of this architectural piece has been detailed and expensive.
