A walk along side the river is absolutely beautiful, especially in the evening as the sun is setting.

It is really nice that almost all the museums are right along this street. A street that is lined by these awesome trees, even without their leaves I was impressed by them. Several museums along this street peaked my interest and as I have a little more time in Frankfurt, I may be back.

Taking a walk at the "Mainufer" in Frankfurt by the river "Main" is an excellent choice if you want to be close to nature in the city and watch impressive buildings and bridges from distance. This walk will kalm you down from the busy city life. Along the walk you will find opportunities to take a boat for a river... More

It was cold and rainy but one cannot visit Frankfurt and not walk along the Main. A huge market along the Museumsufer kept us busy for quite some time. Just strolling along looking at the lovely mansions and museum buildings provides a more relaxing activity away from the hectic vacation itinerary!

There are several museum located in Sachsenhausen, a nice walk along the Main River. Parking can be a problem but there are several parking lots a short walking distance. There is an annual night of the museums where you can visit a large number of museums in the city, by taking a shuttle bus. When I went it was still... More

This is one of the best things to do in Frankfurt when the weather isn't so nice. There are a dozen museums one after another and you can get a single ticket for all the museums either for a single or for a family. For kids, the Filmmuseum is lots of fun. The first floor has lots of historical animation... More

Frankfurts best place to view the one and only german skyline. Nice footwalk along the river Main. See the bridge Eiserner Steg and start your Francfurt visit crossing the river and passing the famous Römer to the medieval Kaiser Dom.

A really nice walk along the river with great views of the skyline, and with open grassed areas as well as shady spots, it's an ideal place to relax on a summers day.
