Santa specials!
Dec 2015 • Couples
Great place, everyone so friendly, easy access by public transport. If you like trains well worth a visit, but check for days of operation.

The Santa Specials were very popular and Santa was handing out gifts to children. Excellent refreshments served too!

All in all most impressed!

A little known aspect of railway and military history presented with enthusiasm and friendliness
Jun 2011 • Friends
The Frankfurter Feldbahn Museum and associated narrow gauge line runs through Rebstockbad Park in a suburb of Frankfurt and commemorates a little known aspect of railway and military history - the temporary trench railways built in profusion in World War I which carried troops and ammunition from rear depots and stations to the trenches. It is a fascinating museum and railway, but what must be especially mentioned is the friendliness of the volunteer staff. The welcome they give the group I was with was superb and included a BBQ. The guided tour they gave was both informative and interesting. The Park in which it is situated is apparently the site of the first international airfield in the world. Well worth a visit and easily accessed via tram from the centre of the city to the Park.
