You can visit the Speicherstadt Museum which gives a brief overview about the warehouse history. Also attractions like the Dungeon andmusicals are located within the old buildings.

This a great area to visit, enjoy the walk along the water. The symmetry, age and expanse of the buildings is impressive. Be sure to look up, each building is pretty special up at the top.

Worth walking around by foot,tour not necessary.Very interesting and historic.Nice to walk thru then walk around,coming out on the wooden walkway towards the Elbphilharmonie building.the big concert hall.

The view is beatiful! It's quiet and the spot for a lovely walk! You could see boats(like tugs and not only) from the times before but maintened ( at least that's how it seemed to us). Have fun in a quiet place !

Sorry, I can not remember as I did not hire that, my company did, but there are many and prices and tours are similar. There is a tourism office in the Harbor (next to the Hard Rock) were you can ask for recommendations... More

Camping Buchholz looks to be as close as you can get and that is not in the city centre, but like previous advice said, try to park outside Hamburg and use a hostel.
