Selfmade chocolate as a perfect gift

Out guide Heidi was very nice and made our tour so cool. We were able to do a chocolate bar on our own which we took home after the tour. It was great!!!

Don’t miss this one...

We found Hachez Chocolate Museum after looking for Hamburg attractions. The museum is in an easily accessible part of town. The price of the museum tour was €19/person, but it included tasting multiple types of chocolate, making our own chocolate bar and included info about how they cultivate/ship cocoa beans. The tour was very interesting! We took the German speaking tour (I don’t speak German!), but they had an English tour pamphlet (which was quite good). The museum has English speaking tours, but we couldn’t wait. Afterwards, you can shop in the chocolate gift shop.

This was a great, interesting museum. If you like chocolate, we definitely recommend it. We’d definitely come back.

To eat or not to eat ;)

The workers are very friendly. I appreciate the design of the building. You can learn some interesting facts about chocolate, its history. And of course you can taste the chocolate :D Don’t waste your chance to prepare your own chocolate with the ingredients chosen by you! ;) The price is not very low, but it’s worth it.

Nice, but overpriced

Chocoversum offers nice and informative tour for a chocolate lover, but most of information can also be googled, nothing specific.

Cool part of the tour is making chocolate by yourself.

Overall, if you are chocolate lover, Schokotour would be wise choice, otherwise I don't suggest wasting time

Dear Chocoholic, thank you for your visit and your honest feedback, we appreciate it! We are sorry that you were not content with the cost-benefit ratio. Our guests taste more than 32 tons of chocolate each year, guided by almost 60 scouts - as you can imagine, that is quite pricey! However, we try to cater towards our price sensitive guests by offering Early Bird tickets, starting from 13 EUR for adults. Maybe that would be an option for your next visit? We hope that you enjoyed your self made chocolate bars! Sweet greetings from Hamburg!

A great place for having fun time in Hamburg. We had a prebooked English tour and had a fun experience. The best thing was to have tasty chocolate samples and make our own chocolate! After the tour you can go to their chocoshop which is full of different chocolates! We bought super good marshmallows covered with chocolate. Yummi!

We had a great time learning about chocolate 🍫 and tasting a lot of it too. Our guide was tremendous. Next to the museum tour we also took the evening pralines class, which took 3 hours and producing self made fillings 😁

Overhyped

Not worth the price. Cool but doesn’t deserve the hype it gets. The tour groups were way too big (30 ish people) and you couldn’t get a personal experience with the museum.

Dear Chocoholic, thank you so much for leaving us your honest review, we appreciate it. We are sorry to hear that you were not content with our cost-benefit ratio. Our guests taste more than 30 tons of chocolate each year, guided by almost 60 scouts. As you can imagine, that is a pricey endeavor for a small, privately owned museum. However we try to meet our price sensitive guests in the middle by for example offering Early Bird tickets. We will check whether we need to advertise those more prominently. Regardless, we hope that you enjoyed your self made chocolate bar! Sweet greetings from the CHOCOVERSUM

Went on a prebooked English tour and had a great experience. A fun way to both learn about the history of chocolate and taste the different stages in the production. Sometimes the presentations went a bit long, but all in all it was a great experience which I will recommend

Great fun on a wet day in Hamburg

I booked an english tour in advance online. Really enjoyed the tour and information including tastes as you went through. The young lady tour guide was very fluent in English and answer the tours questions. Great fun making your own bar of chocolate to take home.

The only down point was that you could hear the other tours going round which was a little distracting.

We came here with my colleagues from work for a pre-Christmas team building. We had a nice tour and made our own chocolates. The info about chocolate is basically what everyone knows. Therefore, I would say it's more for school kids.
