Great place for plant and animal lovers
Aug 2020
Walking through the small but beautiful indoor gardens feels like a mini holiday. Loved the waterfall and the tropical butterfly house. I particularly enjoyed that there were animals too - Gibbons, a Chameleon, an Aquarium, Geckos, and colourful frogs. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Don't skip this place when visiting Bremen!

A Gem in Bremen for Botanics Enthusiats
Jun 2019 • Friends
Botanica is a very nice botanical garden in Rhododendron-Park whose main theme is plants from Asia. You could see and observe many plants from the continent in well organized green houses. It's especially very good and educative for children, they can see where tea is coming from or discover interesting world of plants. People interested in Rhodendron plants and their flowers could have amazing time in the park and in green houses especially on spring time.

Animals in the cages is only negative part of the garden it would be much better without them

This Botanical gardens are within the Rhododendron park area and has very nice indoor gardens from around the world including butterfly house.

Very friendly staff and in entry you can select a teabag so you can stop in the Gardens and have a cup of tea, Very nice.
Great Place to visit.

Friendly engaging staff with good English; the majority of signs are translated also.
Beautiful well- maintained gardens.

My only concern was the monkeys are kept in cages but I was assured by staff that they are on the endangered list and they would not be able to cope outside the Cage.

Nice chilled afternoon out- definite recommend for something to do in Bremen!

If you like plants...

If you like plants and want to relax from the City then this is your place. Make sure you don't miss the butterfly section. I could have stayed hours in there.

Great way to spend an afternoon in Bremen (not just a rainy one...)

If you like plants, you gonna love this. An extension of the Rhododendron Park but in greenhouses chartering the rhododendron across the world and the various habitats. Beautifully presented providing a wealth of information. There's also a very educational discovery centre for fauna arranged in a bit of a NYC Guggenheim structure with loads of activities for children, but definitely worthwhile for gown-ups, too. For a few more days their special butterfly exhibition will be on. Great guides are on hand to share information about these beauties. Last but not least: the cafe/restaurant serves great food and cakes!

Ideal for kids
Oct 2016 • Solo
The outside garden is okay. A good location for fresh air. Once you go inside though, you'll find that the area is somewhat small. Yes, there are things you can do inside but I feel as though kids benefit more than adults during the visit. There are activities like collecting stamps and science conventions inside. Activities aimed at children. To add to other reviews, yes, the tram does indicate when you stop. But one wrong turn from the tram stop can get you lost. Botanika does not sell souvenirs with their logo or name on it. I wouldn't intend to come again after knowing what's going on, the return value is also rather low from an adult viewpoint.

Easy to get to by tram, bus or car. Plenty of flowers in bloom in spring, summer and fall. The plants are labled and the staff is very friendly. A great place to wonder the trails or sit and enjoy the beautiful gardens.
