Cosy historical old city of Bremen

The best "street" is the "cat allée" - so narrow that almost only cats get through. Lots of lovely small shops - don't miss the "stone" shop!

We came for the famous Christmas market in Bremen on a Saturday early afternoon, the district( quarter) is a must see attraction. It maintained all the original building & street feature back in the old city. Street are very narrow just for walkers, many unique shops for browsing or gift ideas. Also have great place for food/drinks. We visited the... More

Our family has lived in Bremens since 1902. Our family history of the last 4 generations in Bremen: First, the grandfather Ottomar H. came 1902 to Bremen and bought a red brick house very near to the Buergerpark in Bremen. His daughter Hedwig B. was born 1909 and grew up in Bremen. Our grandmother "Hedwig" ' son Carl W. has... More

This is a must see. It is a quarter where loads and little shops are, and they are very typical German. It's absolutely lovely. Don't miss it!

This little quarter (hence "Viertel") in Bremen is full of neat cafes and shops. I could imagine it being very touristy in the summer months, however in October it is quite fine. Great place to see unique buildings, intricate alleys, and to grab a coffee and a souvenir.

Must visit place in cozy little Bremen city especially in evenings of winter. I could not witness it during Christmas which is highly recommended, however, my first impression was just amazing. its like fairy place and takes you to 1800s Era. Schnoor I just love you :). this time I am definitely taking my hubby here.

My favorite part of Bremen - every time I come here I discover other charming details that give this place its beauty. The houses, the street, shops and all the plats and trees are just perfect. This neighborhood is one of the most beautiful places in Germany - a must!

This small area near the centre took some finding but was well worth it. Full of alleys with quirky shops and bars it take you back hundreds of years (except for the prices) You can imagine walking through here in the middle ages

Tiny alleys with shops full of things you never knew you wanted. Rows of shops with eclectic offerings, tea, jewellry and knick knacks.

A very well-maintained historic part of Bremen. All is lovely and beautiful here. There are some quaint shops and tea rooms that can take up some of your time spent here. The Schnoor quarter itself is worth spending some time as it is very pretty. Make sure to wander through all the small alleys when you're here, and not just... More
