Here is the heart of the medieval city. Here are the cathedral, Rathaus, the building of the Chamber of Commerce and many old houses. I think most buildings were built more than 500 years ago. The whole square is very well preserved .

This is one of the oldest squares in the City. Some of the building date back to the 16th century. Well worth a visit.

shop as well. Marktplatz- Bremen's Heart- It's the center of the city with all its major attractions such as the Town Hall and the St. Peter's Cathedral. You can also find here the "Bremen's Musician" statue, Roland statue and more.

Also very well restored after WWII. Nice place to walk through and to sit for coffee or drinks. Interesting markets every week.

I recommend at least walking through this area and seeing all the sites. There's always a local market or something special going on about 2 weeks a month. Good place to take groups, grab some food or beverages and take some nice pictures.
