Went during winter, so no outside areas were open, but the inside has plenty of space and a classic interior (best seats at the window). Apparently they take bookings even for breakfast, so book it! Ok coffee + breakfast platter and excellent waffels :) Yum.

I visited this cafe mid-afternoon one weekend with a friend and loved the ambience right away. Outside you have a view of the lovely garden and inside you are in an elegant but unpretentious, warm cafe with character. Unfortunately the service didn't measure up. I ordered a meal and it took 20 minutes for the server to come back and... More

Had lunch in this delightful old building today & can honestly say it was delicious. Not just the usual veggie fare, but a scrumptious quinoa and mushroom burger with the best lemon aioli I've tasted. The chai tea was perfect and the Apple strudel perfect.

The Cafe is located in one of the few buildings from the early 1900. Very nice setting, all in style. of course: full of people. We had only a hot chocolate (not bad, not perfect) and a cake (super.) Great service - partly by students from universities.

We started one of our sightseeing days in this lovely cafe. The weather was a little gloomy but it was bright and cosy inside. If/when we go again I will try to book ahead (although it was a bank holiday the day we went so maybe it was extra busy). Absolutely love the decor!! Great choice for beakfast, plenty of... More

Had breakfast this morning and it was great. We ate in the front room (call to reserve) a green house ambiance. Photo is breakfast #5, eggs and bacon served on a bed of hash browns, lovely service. Oh, BTW poodles are welcome, not sure about dogs 😉

The setting, the feeling, the food and drinks, the service: perfect. That is: the winter garden, the Riesling Sekt brut, the fettuccini, the Rheinhessen red wine, the espresso. The nice waitress and the civilized people sharing the restaurant. And, let us not forget, the intellectuel dessert in the bookshop.

Wonderful restaurant so close to the hustle of the main shopping area. We enjoyed the specials on offer and received excellent service.

We visited for breakfast on both days of our recent weekend break. It was busy, but we were lucky & managed to get a table both days without having to wait - probably worth booking though! Breakfast served till 2pm is a bonus. Staff were attentive, friendly and happy for us to take our time over a leisurely breakfast. Excellent... More

DW and I had a very charming lunch in the greenhouse structure of the front porch of this cafe. There were also a number of outdoor seats, but it was hot that day. The food was 'okay (average), but the setting was superior, hence the 'very good' rating. It is a unique place, and a very nice place, to enjoy... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
