We visited the Insel de Jugend in Treptower park on a very sunny day. Great Biergarten on the island. Just 1,5 km walk from the treptower U bahn. We did not see a lot of tourists. You can rent a canoe or a pedal boat. Or just watch people row by from the beer garden, like we did :-)

A very big park in the Eastern part of the city. Well known for the enormous statue of the Russian soldier - commermorating the last days of WWII. Worth visiting and taking a relaxing walk in teh woods.

Coming here and walking is like getting lost in nature in the middle of the city. I would say that this is one of the best Berlin parks to have a picnic next to the river!

Great park to sit and relax. There are also like places to walk around and enjoy the scenery (when it is sunny of course).

A very interesting place indeed. this is a memorial to the soviet fighters against fascism in a typical socialist realist style -

This place is a great place to visit if you speak russian, enjoy beautiful scenery, or want to enjoy a picnic! There are some soviet memorials that they built as a memorial of their occupation of East Berlin that are all in Russian, and a statue of some guy holding a girl and stomping on the nazi swastika which is...
